Congratulations to Marianne and Barry(chuckles)

oooh thank you all so much...it really was a special birthday!

This all happened yesterday....

My old boss from Southampton Uni asked me if we would be able to photograph her daughter's wedding at Highcliffe Castle in Dorset. We wouldn't have missed it for the world even though it was my birthday! What a stunning location! The brides Dad even toasted my birthday in his speech and the whole room sang happy birthday to me...so special! :'(:)

Then at the end of all the speeches (I had been photographing them) her Dad got up again and said that there was someone else in the room that wanted to have a word with them all....my lovely Barry then stood up and started to say how beautiful the whole wedding had been and he got rather emotional as he was talking...I just sort of stood there as I was stood up for the photos...and then he started to walk towards me, saying such lovely things that for the life of me I can't remember (although I did remove my glasses as some cameras seemed to be pointing at me!) other than the next bit when Barry went down on one knee and asked me if I would do him the honour of becoming his wife...I heard the whole room gasp and then 'aww' as I kissed him and said.....yes!!

So romantic....I love him so much :love: :clap: :woot:

A lovely end to a day that had started out a little bit tense for some reason :shrug:
 
Thats the best news I've heard for ages. I don't think I've ever met a nicer pair of people that were better suited for each other.

Excellent news guys, really happy for you both. We'll have to sort out another meet up in the not too distant future - its been ages since York!

That'll teach us to keep going to weddings every weekend :(

I should be able to find a picckie in a mo. Just downloading from that beautiful wedding. There are some shots but not of the kneeling bit..... I still have the bruise though. What a wonderful lady.... :love:
