Interesting. I usually use Firefox with ghostery, a couple of adblockers, noscript etc and it all works fine. What's your user name?
 
I also play guitar, and though gigs are not happening now, I still play for myself, not just to keep in practice but the pleasure of making music. Photography is the same take shots for your own pleasure, if someone else enjoys then great, bit like music really others like what I play, both have validity.

Yeah, I think the crop was a bit too much, if I was to crop I would just do the bare minimum to remove the tree from the edge of the frame (and balance up slightly on the other side, keeping the original ratio). Cropping doesn't always work as well as taking a step to the left and composing in situ. I noticed it because I am a b****r for not spotting things at the edge of the frame when I'm taking shots.
