Coney Island

Not for 18 years.
If you're lucky it'll have undergone some regeneration since then.

That's what I'm worried about. I believe it isn't what it once was.

We're hoping to get back to NYC next year, and thinking of possibly a day there. The other half has a friend on Long Island, so also dropped him a message on Facebook asking his thoughts.

Wow, that's crowded....

We're hoping to go back to NYC next August, so towards the end of the summer.

I went a couple of years ago for an evening, pretty run down if I'm honest but cool to have a look at none the less.
A quick look on Google Maps doesn't make it look good lol. But yes, would be a nice experience I imagine.

Just like my experience of walking into the deepest part of Brooklyn just to go to a food place that had featured on DDD. Looking back, maybe a daft idea, but I'm still here today :D And at least it was light when we went

I felt safe at both Coney and Brooklyn, so should be ok!

I too never felt unsafe in Coney (or Brooklyn for that matter) I just remember taking a very long walk along surf ave and the boardwalk and thinking "what a s***hole"
