I did a complete redesign of my site HuntingMartians.com with the help of word press and child themes.

I like it, well at the moment but it is a work in progress.

Just wanted to know if it was displaying correctly or there was anything hideous on it.

Can you optimise the background image, it's over 1mb and took an eternity to load on my work pc.

You should be able to get it down to about 100k without losing much.
 
The white text gets lost in that lego figure on the left and the homepage doesn't do any justice to your photographs
 
I've update the background to about 200 kb, so should load a lot quicker.

I've set the background image resolution at 1920 wide. So the lower the resolution then the larger and further to the right the lego man wil appear. Not sure how I can make it appear correct for everyone?
 
On mobile the white writing is unreadable with the lego man. I would suggest changing font colour.
 
I'd lose that lego man completely, the thumb nails of the images aren't fantastic. I just don't think the theme does your work justice. Something like the free "Clean Retina" would be better for them imho.
 
Looks pretty nice, snazzy links and not too slow to load, but on the flipside what are your goals for the site?

What sort of connection do you have, if you don't mind me asking?

Don't really have any long term goals other than for it to be a place to have my images on . To be honest the only people who will look will be people I will basically tell to go there. So I don't expect any traffic. I just want it to be functional and be a little unique.

I'm not sure about the preview images, the headless duck is a little disturbing..

Have not seen the previous site, but this one looks good.

A few points:-
Like previous poster when arriving on home page was unsure what the site was about, I think it was because I was not expecting the blog side of it. (I think unless you deliberately screen the site from search engines you will get some casual visitors)
When you have second page of images the next button on the right looks very elongated on my screen.

I like the images and think the Tags page will be useful as the site grows, the background can make some of the tags hard to see thou. .
