Complete Newbie

Hi guys,
Just want to pop up and say hi to you guys, I am a complete newbie with photography and cameras. I am now choosing my first camera, I was looking for a second hand one around 400 pounds. Is there any camera you guys can recommend?

I would suggest going into a camera shop and getting a feel for some of the camera yourself. Personally, I would suggest sticking with Canon or Nikon as their entry-level bodies are all pretty good, they have a good reputation, and second bodies and lenses seem more plentiful. But I am very much a newbie myself!!!

Hi, and welcome to the forum, the above advice from Ian is the best advice, no one here can tell you which camera is best suited for you, (but for £400 you can get a decent Canon 40D +kit lens ) however I would also agree and confine your choice to the two main market leaders Canon and Nikon.....or Nikon and Canon there is as you will find out, a certain amount of rivalry between the two :boxer:

I was thinking getting a Canon or Nikon too. I will definately go to a camera shop this week to have a try.
A friend recommend me to try Nikon D500, will have a look at that too.
