Hi everyone brand new member here and I just wondered what type of film i.e make size brand to use to start shooting pics. I want to start shooting some wildlife p.s this is a great site looking forward to getting in to this hobby thanx.

If you're new to photography, are you sure you want to use film? It's a bit of a specialist niche these days.

Film is great - that expectation of not quite knowing how the final shot will turn out - and choose the right film and you'll have as much exposure latitude as you need, much like digital. However, film processing is dying and it's relatively expensive (plus, it all needs to be scanned to get it on to a computer) and very slow to be returned from the dev house when you look at it against digital. If you have a film-based system of bodies and lenses then for it but know the pitfalls against modern media. I'd you're starting from scratch I'd deffo have a look at a digi setup that's within your budget :)

Hi I have purchased a Nixon f60 from eBay for fairly cheap and have read some threads and done some research but may have not thought it through. I may need to re sell and get my self a digital any suggestions ? Thank u for the posts
