That time of year again, our local fete with photography competition. I'm being dim and forgot that there were only 30 days in June which means the deadline for the comp is tomorrow and I need to drop my entries in on the way home from work.

Now, because I'm a brainless numpty today, I can't think what to name them, I haven't got them here as they are on my computer at home so if my description are enough, can anyone come up with some witty titles for the pics, please:

1) My rugby shirts shot with a player doing his boots up (reshoot from Numbers comp)
2) Landscape pic of poppy fields with village church in the distance
3) Aerial shot of the local village that I took in microlight on Sunday
4) Sun set with village sign in silhouette in foreground
5) Arch of Bougainvillea with oast house in background

Bit different from my ones last year which were rugby (which won), cricket (which came highly commended), bike polo, local 5m run and scene from a play

tia

Nothing then, no one feeling inspired either, don't blame you :D

Without seeing the shots it is hard to come up with anything.

As for the rugby one, is the shot the same as your comp entry but with a player added? seated and tying his boots ?

if the above is correct what about

'I'll get one that fits this week'

Yup extremely difficult without the pics but here is my go

1) My rugby shirts shot with a player doing his boots up (reshoot from Numbers comp)
Before Battle Commences

2) Landscape pic of poppy fields with village church in the distance
Remember

3) Aerial shot of the local village that I took in microlight on Sunday
A Small light of Peace

4) Sun set with village sign in silhouette in foreground
The End Of the Long Journey

5) Arch of Bougainvillea with oast house in background
Growing fonder all the time

Good Luck in the competition

These are great :D:D:D

As I said earlier, the photos were on laptop at home so couldn't post them when I was at work but thanks so much for your suggestions, they are great. Just nipped on very quickly from getting home and got to go out again but didn't want to seem as though I was ungrateful or ignoring you all :lol:

Thanks :D :D :thumbs::thumbs:

2) Landscape pic of poppy fields with village church in the distance - Blessed with beauty
3) Aerial shot of the local village that I took in microlight on Sunday - From on high
4) Sun set with village sign in silhouette in foreground - Home by nightfall
5) Arch of Bougainvillea with oast house in background - Over the hop

Thanks all for your suggestions, will be using them

Here's the photos, now I'm tired and think I've compressed too much as they look quite soft in flickr. I redid the rugby one tonight again as I still wasn't happy with it...still not 100% or even 75% sure about the sunset one. Blown the sky and might just leave it out.

Thanks for your good wishes too:

Cheers Santana, the more options the merrier and I will let you know what I go with :D

:bang: I must get my bloody cropping right :bang:

Just got them printed (have played with the colours in the aerial and looks better and changed the sunset one to sepia) but messed up the cropping on the shirts one and it's printed out missing the two shirts on either end..:( wanted husband's no 13 shirt in it. Never mind, I'll learn one day! And it's come out quite dark. The Oast and Bougainvillea has come out with the sky blown slightly and a warm tinge, might work given that it was taken at sunset too, don't know. The poppies one has printed out okay though :)

Oh, and the aerial one has been cropped too tightly too and lost some of the cricket :bang: Not the printers fault, mine and mine only

Just got to stick the labels on and drop them in on my way home from work. Will find out Saturday afternoon.

 very clever, we're in the South East though;)

1) Focused
2) Red amongst the green
3) The past peeking through
4) Sunrays in Harvel
5) Yes, we have a pool :)

Your hubby is a girl!

Oh and the photos are not in order you asked for titles in post 1.

Why is my husband a girl? He's a centre whose speciality is crash ball.....can't post his response to that on here as I'd get banned ;) And he's also just informed me that for the last season he's been playing inside not outside - :bonk: oops so I have got his shirt in...not sure what that has to do with the title request anyway :p

I didn't notice that I'd put them in a different order though, observation obviously not my strong point lately

Right, they have now been submitted so fingers crossed for Saturday.

I went with:

Journey's End (Sunset over village sign - now in sepia)
A Short Hop (for the Bougainvillea and Oast House, thought it was fitting as it was taken in the beer garden of the local pub :D )
Preparing for Battle (Scrum half doing boots up with shirts hung up)
A Bird's Eye View (for aerial, cos I'm a bird and it was my view - geddit :D)
Remembrance (for the poppy fields with church in background)

Thanks to all of you for your help :thumbs:

I think I've just got it, you mean cos he plays Union :p:p:p

Or am I still wrong

If your husband is explaining crash centres, he knows what a girl is!

Tom (hooker)

ps. hope the comp goes well.

girl = backs.

Aha - the penny drops :lol::lol: I'm also in trouble as he now thinks that I'm behind the camera too much and not paying attention to his game and where he plays...

Could never understand a hooker's logic ;), yes, get it now, girlie backs. Our club has got some of them - even a stereotypical winger with long hair)

(he's a 17 and a half stone centre though, solid bloke my husband :D yummy)

And he didn't explain, I've always said I love his crash balls (no rudeness please ). When I was playing, I wanted to be a centre like him but had to play flanker as I wasn't the greatest back  plus I've got some weight behind me....

Anyway, back on topic :D

Thanks for the good wishes, I'll let you know how it goes
