its that time of the year again ,car and recovery renewal month ,.having been given a Volvo S60 2.4 turbo diesel last year by my grandson I realised my insurance was likely to go up ,and low and behold this years quote was virtually double .
So I do the usual and compare the comparison sites .... and I then get a quote from the company before this one that is £2 a month more than what I pay at the moment good result .anyway through the day the wife says would it be cheaper to buy a smaller car ,so I did two quotes tonight based on a 1.4 diesel seat,and a 1.6 diesel focus ,I then sat back gobsmacked the first one on the 1.4 seat came in at 40pence less per month ,and the second quote on a 1.6 focus was exactly the same .resulting in no saving at all as I would have to put more towards them anyway .has the insurance world gone utterly out of control or are we all being as usual ripped off .
Anyway that's put that one to bed the Volvo stays . I won't even go into the recovery side of it as that's even more ludicrous especially when you have a caravan .
