Not bad but not the fastest out there, should be adequate for the 40D

I'm a fan of the Sandisk Extreme III - more cost effective to buy 2 x 4GB (£15.99 each)rather than 8GB though!

Hi gareth, where are these priced at 15.99 each? i do have an extreme 3 4gb card at the min.....they are good

If you are looking at the Lexar card, buy from 7 day shop directly, rather than through Amazon - cheaper !!

Lexar and Sandisk are both quality cards, don't think you'd go wrong with either.

Oh and by the way Sandisk Extreme III is 30MB/sec which they quote as 200x Read / Write speed, so Lexar being 233x they should be at least this if not more.

I've the Extreme III and you'll have no problems with either of these.

Just scrolled down the info, the Lexar is 35MB/sec -> seems a good price to me.

The new Sandisk Ultra 8GB is only £19.99 delivered at 7dayshop.

It's equivalent in speed to the old Extreme III at 30MB/s. I believe the Lexar 233x is 35MB/s.

The new Sandisk line up is:

Ultra: 30MB/s
Extreme: 60MB/s
ExtremePro: 90MB/s
