Hi folks,

Now that my newly acquired Fuji S5 is on its way, I think I will need another CF card and a card reader. I've browsed a little here and I'm wondering if those Sandisk cards are worth the investment, or if anyone can recommend any others (and a reader)?

Cheers,
Mike

yes, sandisk.

the 8gb 'ultra' is about £20 and wil do you well and won't slow down the S5pro.

and the 7dayshop readers work fine, think they're £3 for 2, delivered...

yes, sandisk.

Totally agree, you can't go wrong with SanDisk! I have a 8GB Extreme which is worth a bit more at £60 but I managed to get mine for £10 from Jessops when I bought my camera with a bit of persuasion ;)

Most card readers are fine but theres the Jessops one for about £10 I believe? That's what I have wired into my Laptop Case.

Sweet, I guess it'll be a 8GB Sandisk Ultra then. Thanks you both!

Just make sure you get a genuine one though. Lots of fake ones out there. ;)
I bought a jessops card reader and it very fast at downloading.

Kev.

I use Sandisk Extreme 8Gb cards (class 6) in my D90 - no problems at all with them.

RE the card reader - I found my old Trust card reader would not read them - possibly due to the speed; so I bought a Sandisk ImageMate All-In-One card reader (as I needed one that reads MicroSD, CF and Sony memory sticks) and it works great.

Oddly, the card reader in my old IBM laptop reads them fine  so it could be a problem with cheap card readers.

As has been said - buy from a reputable source to avoid throwing your money away on fakes.
