Compact camera suggestions

Hey all
Ive booked my new york trip whoop whoop but my girlfriend needs a good camera for the trip, Ive got the D90 so Im ok but I want to surprise her and get her a compact that would be good for skylines and general new york stuff.
Any ideas on a quality camera for around £150

Not the smallest compact around but has brilliant image quality and heaps of features..

Hi Joe,

I had the same thought for my wife, I got her a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX5, she loves it, especially the Panorama sweep. She likes it so much she is now booked on a photography course! Dear god what have I done, she will be after my DSLR next. The only thing is this is around £279 and not within your budget of £150.

My mother has just bought a new compact. She had a 6-7 year old cool pix that was so slow between shots it was painful, you would have been better off drawing what you saw :bonk:

I'm impressed with it, takes nice pictures and is nice and quick to shoot.
