Yes
Today I came to regret :cuckoo: not having a compact camera to take to an event to quickly and easily take simple photographs to record an event. (The event itself was very modest but my 5D/580EX and 50mm lens was simply too much kit and I could press no-one present to take a photo with it.)

So maybe I could justify the acquisition of a compact for a modest outlay for those "slip it in your jacket" occasions. I'd shoot in RAW if I could and it'd need to function indoors and out. A bridge camera would be simply too bulky and so not fit my criteria.

All suggestions/recommendations gratefully received.

Just got a wee fuji from tesco for this purpose (and to stop the daughter pinching the 5d)

Its a Fuji AX245W and it was £69.97, however if you add it and the case and 2Gb sd card it offers for a tenner you get £10 off so the case and 2Gb free.

There is also another code TDX-GD55 which gets you £10 off a £50 spend.

It comes to £59.97 in the end which is perfect for what I wanted.

I got it delivered to store (collect this Tues) for free delivery.

Goldenstar, how's the AX245 working out for you? I was looking at that one for a "just need it to fit in the pocket" camera and Tesco still have them on offer.

I have a Panasonic TZ6 for sale in the FS section! - Am i allowed to do this? Sorry if not but could be helping out which is what we are all here for! :) I'll delete if not appropriate.
