Hi guys,

I'm going on holiday to Mexico in a couple of weeks and I'm looking at purchasing a compact camera for the trip. As it won't be used much, I'm not looking to spend a great deal. Maybe in the region of £100. Can anyone recommend anything at that price point?

Edit: As after after thought, we're also going to be snorkeling while we're there, so if there's a half decent waterproof camera that fits my budget then that'd be a bonus! I dont mind buying second hand if it would help.

Thanks in advance

£100 is not really going to buy a huge amount. but have a look around for an old canon s95. lower end waterproof cameras are generally not as good as the none waterproof equivalents' at the same price point. that said some off the Olympus and pentax waterproof compacts arnt to bad at all

The RX100 is a very good compact but you'll be lucky to find one for £100. I would look at some of the older mirrorless system cameras with a kit lens if you want something noticeably better than a smartphone phone for that budget. Sony NEX, Olympus Pen etc.
