Hello :)

I'll be making the rules up as I go along, I reckon it'll be easier that way ;)
I got my 40D in summer '09 and have enjoyed every moment I've been with it.
Although coming home to find I've filled it with blurry trash has not always been quite as enjoyable.
I'm looking forward to this year long project, it will keep me going when inspiration wanes.
I always go out to photograph something nearly everyday, but sometimes I end up driving around wondering what to point my camera at.
Doing this will save me loads of money on petrol :)
Well enough of this natter, here's my pic on 'Curved'

I wanted to get a really nice star trail but wasn't happy with the results recently so I'll go with this pic of my car instead, just to get the ball rolling.

Hi Ryan,
this has a moody sinister feel to this one but, a tad too dark, very curvy though and another good intrepretation of the theme

the reflections in the car are great

Now that is curved! I think that has the basis of a cracking shot... as said the reflections are great, and I like the tones in the car/sky. Not entirely sure what needs doing, so think if it was mine I'd just try a few different compositions and angles.

Yes... it's quite dark. But that doesn't bother me too much.

For some reason this photo reminds me of the Batcar.

Dark, little bit broody and pretty cool.

I like this shot a lot. I like the darkness, and the clean lines as well as the reflections.

Not sure about the pink overtones. Was that PP'd in or is it natural? Either way, that's my personal preference which 'aint the same as others!

Ian.

Hi Ryan,

 I really like that.
Dark and moody . . . but I like dark and moody.
Great reflections and a lovely curve. If I had one criticism, it's that I feel like it could do with just a touch more space on the left.

Where was this shot BTW?
Think it might be somewhere Id like to visit.

Thanks for all you comments. :)
I didn't intend to get a moody feel, thats just how it came out hehe.
The pink you mentioned Harlequin might be the colour balance I favour in night shots, I sometimes add a little purple to the sky stop it from looking monochrome. I doesn't look to bad on my monitor but then its not calibrated or anything. I hope its too that far off :)
To address 68lbs, I didn't take long on the shot as I was waiting for cars to turn their lights off behind me as I went out specifically to do a star trail. It turned out poor :( something I'm still working on coz I love those pics. I'll also be doing more shots of my car, it's good from alot of angles :)
This was shot in the car park off Llantwit beach Sarah but the road getting there is treacherous at the moment.

Nice picture, nice curves, nice car.

I really like it Ryan, curved indeed, spot on for the theme, and great reflections.

Lovely picture of the car, caught the lines and reflections really well. Just like to see some adjustments to lighten that snow a bit and really contrast it with the car.

Good luck with the next 51.

Thanks Ryan. I'm not much of one for landscapes, but it's something I want to challenge myself with a bit more this year. Great to get a heads up on some good local locations.

My car's in the garage this weekend (knackered catalytic converter :( ), which means that if I do go out shooting I'll have to take OH's Landrover. On a positive note that could be just the thing for those dodgy roads.

I love the mood and dark colours in this image which are complimented by the pastel hues in the sky.

I like it, curved, dark and, almost, menacing - it makes you think a bit too - whats the story behind the car and where it is....good stuff :)
