Hi Folks, just a wee word of warning if you are thinking about getting a bargain in Comets liquidation sale. I would check your prices with other outlets first.
I went into Comet on saturday to buy a wireless keyboard for my MAC, they had it priced at £70, this really annoyed me as it was £57 the week before.I asked to speak sales person and he got really embarassed when i asked him about the price hike.It looks like they have increased the prices and hoping that people will be enticed in buy their adverts for bargains.
i went to the Apple store and bought it for £57.

Seems some people still think they are getting a good deal. I saw people paying lots more for tv's and cameras than they can be had online.

I have gone in last night - I must agree; terrible. 'Up to 10% off' the cameras. This is after the prices have been increased since a few weeks back on some lines.

woot!!! 10% taken off a highstreet price when the store in question is disappearing so you don't benefit from actually buying it from the highstreet (aftersales service, returns, etc)

Beyond belief. These decisions are probably the reason they ended up in trouble in the first place!

Went into the Lincoln branch (which looks likely to be closing) and there's not what I'd call a massive price cut (their words, not mine) on anything they have left. I noticed a Sigma 70-300 was down to £109 (15% reduction) but the same lens is £99 from a reliable ebay seller the same day.
