hi all,just bought Nikon 3100,& was wondering which macro lens gives good value & service.:bonk:

There isn't a bad macro lens really.


Tamron 90mm
Sigma 105mm
Nikon 105mm


All great choices.
There are other focal lengths, either longer or shorter, I prefer the longer lengths, I had a sigma 150mm which was excellent, but more costly.

I shoot macro with the Sigma 105mm f2.8 its a cracking lens and can produce some very nice images too

but as said not really and bad macro lenses, I would avoid anything less than 90mm focal length though - Im now looking at the Sigma 150mm macro lens
