When I use Canon's Zoombrowser to upload my RAW images the exposure looks okay and there is some 'punch' in the colours. However, when I then go into CS2 bridge and browse for the images, they look overexposed and whites are blown out. I am making adjustments to the exposure before converting them. My question is, do I believe Zoombrowser or CS2. If I adjust too much, the send them to be printed, I might have spoilt them. I have downloaded Photobox's calibration print and on screen in both programmes it looks the same:thinking:  However, when I print it out, the colours are not quite as punchy as the monitor.:bang:

Any ideas?

I don't use either programme, but make sure you're using the same colour space in both (if it's an option) i.e. sRGB or Adobe RGB.

It could also be down to your Colour Management settings in CS2?

like CT said check colour management in CS2 and Zoombrowser.

if you are using auto control in either of your raw programs it will compensate for blown whites, then you may be vieving them in a viewer which is showing you exactly what you have taken (no compensation), my advise is to use only one program and learn how to set the raw controls for your camera so you can get the best out of it, or even have your camera profiled, as each camera and program will interprit the data diffrently.

Damned good advice! there are so many programmes out there that its easy to get "over loaded" with them ( I have only just found the flexibillity of RAW) and am guilty of "programme overloads" switching between several trying to get the best effects or should I say the best effect the easiest way :bang:
