Colour profiles not found in Lightroom

I can't get Lightroom to recognise my colour profiles on my Mac:

I'm running Mac OS X version 10.6.4 and Lightroom 1.4.4

The printer is an Epson R2880, the paper is Epson Premium Glossy Photo

I'm using Epson ink.

I have downloaded and installed the latest R2880 drivers.

I have downloaded and installed the Epson colour profiles for Epson Premium Glossy Photo

I have run ColorSync, repaired and verified the profiles, ColorSync thinks that they are fine.

I can see the .icc files in /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/EPSON Stylus Photo R2880

But Lightroom doesn't pick them up.

I have googled till my fingers are worn down to stumps.

Can anyone spot what I missed? How do I persuade lightroom to find my profiles?

I Looked in my directory /Library/ColorSync/Profiles/ and the only profiles I have there are generic ones.

My printer profiles are stored in user/Library/ColorSync/Profiles.

Try coping them to that destination and see if Lightroom can find them. I don't have a copy of Lightroom 1.4 running at the moment, but that location finds them for both LR2 and LR3.

The printing path on the Mac changed with version 10.6, and it did cause some problems, although I'm not aware of anyone having problems with Lightroom not finding profiles
