As title, I am having an infuriating problem, any prints I send from lightroom to my printer and almost totally yellow, no where near correct colours, same from photoshop, same if i select print on photo paper, if i select to print from MS Word to normal paper its totally fine, and the ink levels are fine.

Clearly its a printer profile issue, I have tried many, selected adobe rgb and so on, but I simply cannot make it work.

Any ideas on how to make it just print ?

This is the issue:

If you have tried many profiles, then it's obviously not a profile issue. Have you un-installed and re-installed the driver software?

i had something similar, turns out it was a clogged nozzle.
have you run a print head test?

Have a read through this. Might help. There are a number of colour management articles on this site with links at the bottom of this article..

I will take a look thanks

Will try now :)

The 2 above images were printed moments apart, the only thing I changed was the paper type, I need the 'yellow' one as its the photo paper version :/ so as printing on normal paper at normal quality turns out fine I assume its a software error. Thanks though :)

Is there a specific setting for different papers?

Of course.

OP. I don't know what you've done or checked but I'd suggest going back to basics and trusting nothing.

I'd suggest that you look carefully at the different adjustable values under Print settings, Custome Settings and even Colour Controls just to see if there is anything obviously wrong, like a slider that's somehow got pushed way to one side.

You could also try a different photo paper or even using the settings for your photo paper to print onto normal copy paper. Anything to give you a clue.

Other than that could you reinstall your processing software just in case some setting that can't be spotted can be reset to default?

Good luck. I know from personal experience what a hair pulling thing home printing can be.

OK so,

I totally uninstalled the printer driver, also ccleanered the computer etc...

Reinstalled the driver, 'normal settings' print, prints fine.

AS SOON as I select any paper other than plain paper it is now printing nothing at all, no ink touches the paper, im abit perplexed, I suppose its better than a yellow mess.

Windows printer test page is also perfectly fine.

I assume its the bit of software in regards to what paper it is - how do I fix that ?

Did you reinstall the printer driver from disc? If so then try downloading the latest version from the manufacturer's website.

What printer are you using? How many different ink colours?
You didn't specify if you ran a nozzle check or not.
How long since you successfully printed a photo on this printer?

If your printer is trying to use different inks for photo paper it may be a nozzle problem.
If it was a profile problem it would only affect one profile, not several.

I am not being funny, but I had issues with a pronter and after much head scratching, I bout a new one as they are so cheap. Time is money..,.

Using latest driver, printer is canon ip4500 on windows 8

canon ip4500, all nozzel checks and test pages and anything the printer prints to paper to check if hardware is ok prints 100% perfect, it is not an ink or a hardware issue, it has 5 inks, 2 blacks, cyan, magneta and yellow. It uses all of these inks when printing to normal paper is selected

I have literally no cash in the world, at all, the printer is brilliant when its working.

Again selecting 'normal paper' it prints 100% perfect no problems at all.

Selecting ANY OTHER paper it now prints NOTHING

Where can I get printer profiles for the paper from??

Have you ever done a successful photo print from it before? If yes, how long ago & what has changed since? Have you just upgraded the PC?
The ip4500 is an old printer (I have the ip5000 on a W7 64 bit machine) & the drivers are almost certainly not designed for a W8 machine. It took me a long time to get my 5000 working on my PC, but it is a cracking printer!

Yeah from a different windows 8 machine, just need this working, the drivers say win 8 64 bit on the website, so i expect it to work on win 8 !! lol, I paid my money for it, and want it working, not that old, its a great printer.

What went wrong with yours and how did you get it working ?

I upgraded my PC to a W7 64 machine, plugged in the ip5000 to discover that they don't make drivers for W7 64 bit..........
I installed the last 64 bit driver they released, (ME I think?) & after cancelling all the messages telling me it didn't instal properly it works like a dream.

How can you be certain you are actually using a ICC profile at all when printing? How are you printing? What software you printing from?

If there's one thing I learnt a long time ago, its that canon are rubbish for 64bit drivers especially with older products
