Colour management - Which screen/printer profile device

Probably been asked before but which colour profiling device is best. There are so many that I'm confused. There are Spyder's, Colorminki's and more. I want to ensure that my screen is as accurate as possible and that the images I print are the same as what I see on the screen - apparently the colorminki can be used to set up the screen and profile the printer?

Do I need to set up a different colour profile for my screen for every different set of ambient light I shoot in (I'm shooting tethered)?
 
The tools for the screen do much the same job My screen has been down with a Spyder 3 Elite
BUT printing is a different ball game.
You need to know and under the ICC profiles and how to use them also How to TURN OFF colour management in your printer, this is where lots fall down.
I use Perma Jet who supply bespoke profiles for your printer and ink
 
Colourmunki is the only calibrator that will calibrate your monitor and produce printer profiles for your paper also (as far as I'm aware of). Basically then what you see on screen is what you will print out.

You won't need a different profile for your different studio setups. You need a profile for different paper so that what you see on the screen is what you get in a print.

That is true the Colourmunki will do this But you only get what you see of screen if you Proof your screen image and you understand print management.
you have to understand teat your screen is light and paper is reflective light which is dependent on the light falling on it.
 
I too have the Colormunki and have never had any problems with it. Very impressed. Expensive at £330 ish but you do get what you pay for here :-)
