Being still very new on this forum I am still finding my way around and looking at what's what. I have looked briefly but cannot find anything of developing and printing from colour negatives using the C41 and RA4 processes.. Any users out there?
Once you get the hang of it, It will become addictive! Plus, a bit expensive now. The first print that I made that was anywhere near to being right I almost did cartwheels down the hallI recently started C41 developing using Bellini chemicals, but although I have bought the RA4 chemicals and all the kit for printing, I still haven't been able to do any due to a multitude of excuses . . .
I don't have any colour negatives as old as yours , I only started colour work in the early 1990's and it was a steep learning curve. Some of my negatives which are nowhere near as old as some of yours and have actually faded very badly. It is only in the past 10-15 years that a dedicated stabiliser has been readily available and they have been a lot better lasting without fading.I'm sure it will be - I've been wanting to do it for many years, but have only recently gained the room and the kit to do it. I have colour negatives going back over fifty years since I started photography and it would be nice to re-print some of my 'lost' ones.
