Hi Guys,

I have an HP Laptop that I use for editing photos.

I know that if you are serious about colours you shouldnt really use a laptop but a desktop monitor. Unfortunately, that isnt an option at the moment as I can't afford anything else.

I have noticed my prints appearing to differ colour wise from what was displayed on the laptop screen. That doesn't overly surprise me as its a laptop and colours can be tricky.

I would like to calibrate the colours on my laptop screen (if possible)

So, two questions.

1) - can I calibrate on a laptop screen (or the television come to think of it) then say display on a television and edit on the laptop as i do to get a true rendition of the colours?

2) - what colour calibration device to you suggest? I dont want anything overly costly but dont want to go bargain basement on something that simply doesnt work.

Thanks

1) -

You can calibrate your display on a laptop just the same as you do on a desktop, there is no real difference.

There is nothing much between any of the calibrators really!
