Telling us where you were when you took might give us a clue ;)
 
It looks to me like Pleasley Pit. Just outside Mansfield, in Notts. It's partially restored, I've been to a couple of open days there in the past, but not for a year or two.

Edit - I'm pretty sure it is that one, the shot is taken looking south from the Pit Tip, which is now a wildlife reserve, looking over Pleasley Village towards Mansfield

Many thanks ,it is Pleasley.I had searched the net with info that it was or was near Shirebrook but could not find anything.Thanks again.:)

The present headstocks, Grade Two listed structures, were at the time of completion in 1953 the tallest in Europe. They can be seen from miles around. Despite this, there has been a number of attempts by owners Welbeck Estates to demolish them due to the expense of the upkeep. During 2014, an epetition was submitted to UK government, to raise public support and awareness, which is scheduled to run until March 2015.
