Collapsible background and train

Hi. I'm thinking of getting one of those black/White folding backgrounds with a train. Any ideas where is a good source? I've seen those hilite ones advertisedthat you light from inside. I currently have just two d-lites so does that mean buying extra lights? Cheers in advance.

I have a lastolite hilite and only 2 lights.although it's not ideal lighting the background with only 1light it can be done.

The train also will need work in PS as you can't get that lit by light also.

I have done quite a few shoots using this and it works well

I am however saving for a 3 rd light lol

I just got a photosel one from ebay, Black/white add on train and a chroma green background 2m x 1.5m, with train fitted, 3.5m x 1.5m.

Seems good quality though haven't had it all out yet.

Coincidentally my Photosel one arrived today. Seems reasonable quality, I agree (I got the grey one with the chroma green/white add on train). Seems huge, but it's still smaller than a traditional background-with-poles set up and will fit into most rooms which was the major issue with my existing background support system. It seems to rest okay against a wall, but I'll be hanging it off a stand all the same.

Not entirely sure I won't embarrass myself in front of the client trying to fold it up, but that's going to happen with whatever background of that type I get!

3 am the other morning there was this stupid cripple (me) having a fight to the death with a 60" x 40" reflector I had been using (with a light kill cover on it) as a small backdrop behind me on the bed, every time I got near to folding it, it sprung out of my hands and landed on top of me, at one point I considered just going to sleep and using it as a duvet!!
In the end I had to watch a video online to work it out.

My background is going on the wall permanently, I'm not risking trying to fold that sucker.

I've had one of these for nearly a year and would continue the recomendation. I use two konig lightstands to support it, where I have modified two background clamps to screw on the spigot to grip the top of the background.

Trying to buy a replacement case from them though is impossible, so make sure you don't tear it like I did

Me too! Only gripe is that it is too big for over half the homes I go to!!! Able to get a perfect white background with just a quick tweak in LR and on camera SB900 bounced.

Worth a look, but may be a little on the large side if setting up in a small room.

Although a tight squeeze, I've never not been able to shoot with it in other people's homes and that's with a couple of studio lights either side, but then again I always make sure they have enough room before going.
