As title really, which should I opt for?

Camera: D3 FX
Lenses: 14-24/2.8; 24-70/2.8

Also; D300 DX with Tokina 12-24/4.0

If I go for the Z-Pro series, is there a chance of vignetting at the wide end, or should I go X-Pro just to be safe?

I was considering the Lee system but there is a considerable difference in pricing and both use the same glass anyway, so I think the Cokin is the way to go.

Opinions/user reviews most appreciated.

I've used a Z-pro quite extensively, but not the X-pro series.

On a D300 with Sigma 10-20 you can see the filter holder below about 12mm. Not really noticed any vignetting though. I suspect you will be ok with the Tokina.

On D700 with 24-70, works with no issues whatsoever. I don't have a 14-24, but you'll struggle with filters on that whatever ;)

Only thing I would say, the Cokin filter rings and holder are fine, but the filters themselves are expensive and not that great. Unless things have changed recently be prepared for some colour casts and heavy PP to get rid of them. You won't realise how bad they are, until you try something else.

I'm still using the Z-pro. But now got a combo of Lee and Hitech grads to slide in.

If I had to go back and do it all again, I'd probably go with a Lee filter holder and Hitech filters. It's the most flexible and cost effective choice.

Thanks for the info, very concise.

I'll look again into the Lee system on your advice. I forgot about the 14-24 and near impossibility of fitting filters, for this I'll make something up ;)
