Cokin N154

I have a cokin N154 p series, silly question is this 4 stops or 8?
I was considering getting a darker one for brighter conditions...but there is no 10 stop for the P series. Whats the best bet? stack them? Thanks

Neither, it's an ND8 so it's 3 stops.

so eqivalet of a smaller shutter thnthe amera can possibly make itself on max f stop. Wold the ND10 be 4 stops then?

No, an ND 16 would be 4 stops......the formula is 2 to the power of...

ie, ND2 = 1 stop
ND4 (2x2) = 2 stops
ND8 (2x2x2) = 3 stops
ND16 (2x2x2x2) = 4 stops etc etc etc.
