Sainsbury's has pulled it out of the bag - £26.99 from midnight tonight (9th).

Have checked o the website for online ordering but it's not on there. Think it's in-store purchase only. Read on the Stuff website it's one copy per person.

Outside I'm smiling; inside I'm crying because I can't play it while the missus is on maternity leave. Gutted. Hope they all sell out :D
 
mines arrived last Friday :'(

But I can't activate it till steam get their fingers out their butts and let me activate it :bang:
 
Makro are doing them for £20.00 (inc VAT) i bit the bullet and pre ordered from amazon today, £32.99 (ex delivery) should get it tomorrow.... wish i waited until i saw all the blinking adverts tonight.... :bang:
 
I pre-ordered mine a while ago, should be here tomorrow! Very excited, although I have a feeling my degree might be suffering for a bit :D

Not yet convinced to be honest, haven't played the main game yet, just online and that doesn't seem as sorted COD4. That could just be because I was so familiar with the landscape of the first but it does seem a touch more frenetic, spawn, die, spawn, die, spawn, die etc etc.

I order it weeks ago and had completely forgotten about it until it dropped onto the mat this morning.. Not good as I have so much work this week :(
 
It may happen, or it may only be for pirated versions, it's all a bit unclear at the moment!

Honestly I think Activision must love the amount of hype this game has got but I just cannot get my head around how big it is. Clearly their marketing department is going to get a huge slap on the back for a job well done. But I can just see some disappointed faces by next week.
 
it does have big boots to fill. The first one is one of those you can just watch again and again....if even the whole story was a mish mash of various films
 
And the roumore is "all those that are playing for more than the last 2 days on line will most likely get the new style ban. i.e. there ip address gets banned not the xbox like in the past and If you claim you got it sent early they need the date time and place of pruchase with a copy of the recipte."

Its not bill gate its the game company thats doing the reset as the only people that are meant to be online with it at the moment are reviewers and a lucky few. The achivements are meant to stay as they are connected to your acounnt.

At lunchtime today I was 39000ish in the kill rankings so there is at 40,000 geeky reviewers out there or you should maybe rephrase as "the lucky multitude". ;)

Charlie Brookers' mini review is up at the Guardian. Sounds like I expected, pretty good but noway near the amazing people are expecting..
 
it bloody better be amazing, iv only just connected back to live for this game!

il try pick it up in sainsburys tomorrow but got college then shoot so may have to wait until wednesday, man thats going to be difficult.
 
we can all photograph the screen when we die or get a headshot from halfway across the map...

Got so much college stuff to have in for this week and its nearly 3am and i've done sweet F A ! lol

Game is very similar to COD4 only without you choosing the server. you can still host one with all your mates though.
 
I have two teenage sons who have sort of mentioned this game a couple of times lately.. just a bit:) they are saving up....


So i went to ASDA tonight to get them a copy... nice suprise for morning.... I decided to wait until about 12.30 am when the queus had gone... As soon as I got into asda car park I knew somehting was wrong.. it was packed.. got in there and its a queue all the way down past the checkouts and its like 4 deep.. turns out they started at 9pm waiting for midnight..

And I live in a relatively small town..

spoke to a bloke in que who said sainsburys only had ten copies... eh? staff came into que to say around 160 copies left... next delivery expected about crimbo time... police on site as there had already been a bit of bother earlier..

I was just amazed... this is a small town and we are talking a computer game for crying out loud!

finaly got a copy and will give it to them later today... they will smile and say thanks but wil ahve no idea whats gone on....sigh

So much hype.... oh there is going to be so much disappointment! It's a very good game, both SP and MP are awesome but not at all worth this much hype.
 
I pre-ordered mine from amazon, I too wish I hadnt, wife could have got it for me for a tenner less at sainsburys.

Aah well we live and learn

How about a TP clan for PS3??:naughty:
 
I believe Tesco are offering it for £25 when bought with another chart game.

I won't be buying it as I was quite disappointed with the original COD4, nice graphics, but completed it within a day. I'm currently playing Fallout 3, and loving it, especially with the new add-ons.

It's not about the story though fella.

Online gaming is main thing about COD now and MW2 is fantastic so far.

Might not live up to the hype imo, but only builds a bit on MW1. Better graphics, different levels and layouts.....just means a different/better MW1 to me. :D

Too true. Although the game was good on COD4 and COD5, it wasn't great for longevity, aside from doing it in superextremehardcore mode to get the G achievements on Xbox. The online play was what it was all about; it's probably the best online game around of any genre, simply because it's accessible, it's of-the-moment and it's soooo much fun.

I've just gone into Sainsbury's in Rugby and the manager was behind a little booth handing out copies to each customer. A security guard was next to him. They'd just about sold out at 9.30am but what the hey, i got a good bargain :

However can we please keep on topic here. ie, discussing suppliers and outlets etc, not how good the game may or may not be. That conversation belongs in OOF :)
 
Got mine this morning Makro in Bristol (Cribbs) £20 bargain said they had 90 Xbox and 80 Playstation 3

Just shame have to work all day now!!
 
I just finished Fallout3 so I need something new to play (although I just started on Tiger Woods 08). Might buy this one as I loved the multiplayer CoD4. Not sure where to order it from to have it delivered to Spain though.
 
Completed the story on regular in 4 hours and 47 minutes and it was literally a rollercoaster ride the whole time.

Now I'm really struggling to find an online game. My NAT settings are strict and I have a terrible ping, simply due to the amount of users connecting to the same internet connection.

Nevermind eh. I suppose I can just play with some mates.

As far as living up to hype goes, nothing will ever live up to this much hype.
