COD: Black Ops

Excited isn't the word - just cobbling together all my unplayed games to see how much trade-in I'll get. MW was amazing; MW2 has taken over my life and I expect COD:BO to be the same. I feel like a kid again :)

I refuse to queue up with the kids to get it first though and this title is expected to be the biggest game evah too I hear..
 
I can't! I have such a backlog of games at the moment, I can't justify adding another one to the pile. Unfortunately, by the time I get round to COD:BO, everyone will be "uber l33t" at it and I'll just be some bullet-sucking n00b who exists only to boost other peoples' scores... like every other game! :lol:

Not sure if I'll get this although I do play MW2 a lot.

I'm still waiting for Fallout 3 and Red Dead: Redemption to arrive in the post, they should keep me entertained for quite a while...

Fallout 3 is my favourite game of all time. I never fail to be in awe of the wasteland and how every burnt-out village you come across tells its own story, even if it's not one of the quest areas.

I picked up RD:R the other day cheaply, and I have to say it's very impressive. It's not GTA on horseback, but it's very immersive - I really enjoy it.

Just to add I last earned my dishonorable discharge while an active clan member..... Old And Pants 360 clan. or if you miss it OAP360 clan :) I think they did get a lot better after I left though :lol:

I love these type of games. I always get killed when playing online though!!
 
will get it for the single play. My days of online play are over. Synapses dont fire quick enough any more.
Played far too much S&D on COD:UO and COD:2
 
just pre ordered mine. Last year with MW2 I queued up at morrisons at 8am and got it but my bro in law got it the day before release when he pre ordered it from play so hoping that will happen to me this time!

in the end though i wasn't a big fan of mw2 over cod4 I think they made it too complicated with all the different perks and the maps were all massive.

Loving the new wager mode though I come top or 2nd in nearly all free 4 alls so should be able to earn a pretty packet for upgrades!

Also medal of honour has no free 4 all - whats that all about? stopped me buying it!
 
I'm not sure, I can still play COD MW2 on line for hours, and am waiting for Gran turismo to be released. Guess I'll pick up a copy of black ops when its cheaper, that is unless its in Sainsbury for £20 again????

Anyone on here playing much of the downloadble content for MW2? just wondering wether to bother or not?
 
is the Black Ops online only or does it have a single player too? it seems nowadays you're just not cool if you don't play online.

i only ever played MW2 in single player yet still found myself with quite a high online ranking... due to my nephew hogging my PS3 for hours whenever he came round! :gag:

yep it has a single player mode too, looks pretty involved. love the rolling stones track on that trailer

Also, I wont be able to stop playing MW2 until I've pulled my kill ration up to 1.00

Currently at 0.97 and slowly getting there!

after playing world at war I'd be inclined to agree but the trailers and the new wager mode seems to point out they may have learnt some lessons since last time.

bouncing bettys were the worst thing to be introduced to cod ever!
 
I've ordered it too. :) Loved Modern Warfare and the rest, and although its a present for my dad I'm sure I'll end up playing it myself!

I'm dubious as it is Treyarch COD III and World at War were awful IMO, both were made by Treyarch. They tend to go for gimmicks like driving vehicles and the remote control car bomb and stinger like missiles look no different

Hope I'm wrong :(
 
well after destroying medal of honour , baring a few achievments left im looking forward to getting destroying it online and offline i need something to challenge me now


medal of honour was just a big let down

got the right idea but just didnt nail it
 
just to let you know shopto.net are pretty cheap and i have recived there games up to 2 days prior to release date , but not guaranteed

i had medal of honour 1 day before official release and so did my brother from the same place

the game play was good though, and cod4 was similar with the ac-130 mission. in fact cod 3 was the game that got me into the series

Hmm, im not sure, i loved COD4, hated WaW, and loved MW2, but, each COD was beaten firmly by the releases of BF BC & BC2.

I still spend hours online at times playing BC2 on XBL.

Might have alook though, can always trade it in when the next BF comes out
 
My son's excited about this game,went in his bedroom in 2008 and hasn't been seen since,only comes out for food and drinks.
 
Hmmm I've hardly played MW2 properly (cos I suck) since buying it this time last year.

Do I add it to my list of games to take to Asda tomorrow to trade in (for a Gift card, ready for Tuesday ;))
Or do I pay the extra and get them both.
Or do I not bother at all because I'll probably never play it.
 
asda will give the new one for £5 if you trade in a chart game apparently...

im in prestige mode now on MW2, the video for black ops looks like treyarch have tried to do it properly, never played WAW online though so dont know how different that was.
 
I Want, I Want, I Want. Not preordered but waiting with baited breathe. I've got all COD & MW and have killed them to bits.

Looking for someone to walk the dog on Tuesday, cos I got the feelin I will be preoccupied.lol.

Uh huh...and here's all you lot going on about how you need a ninja pc for photo editing! :naughty: ;)

Going by the trailer, are you not going to need some serious hardware to get the most out of it?
