weekly Cobra's 52 surreptitious Shoe-horns for 2016 week 52 celebrate and done

the red pandas always seem to be hiding high up in the trees at my local zoo,
And the ones at Whipsnade too, but you have to be patient, at some point they will come down to eat / drink.
And probably sleep too ( for the night) if they have nest boxes.

It took me a long time to figure out that they usually come down between 14:30-15:30

You don't get much cuter than that Chris, that's an enviable photo, I love it
Thank you for the kinds words Susie :)

Awwww, how cute... and the shot of the baby panda is nice as well :)

So on to week 48 ( just 4 to go  )

And the real one, how about a bit of Japanese "culture" ?

Hey! Mr.C. .. .only 4 more shoehorns and you'll be done! Quite a few good Cultural Japanese artefacts .. strangely on theme. Hope you get better s.... Oh just spotted the Chameleon so obviously feeling better now - got worried for moment. .

On theme again, some nice bits of japanese culture, have you misplaced the shoehorn,
nice chameleon too

I really like the chameleon, one of your best shoe horns IMHO

strangely on theme

The Japanese subject is a good choice for cultural but it looks like a difficult collection to photograph and I find the crop a bit tight.

The Japanese theme is good for cultural. :) The lizard is a bit strange.

Jap stuff's interesting, a bit lopsided and tight tho. o_O

See that long blade in the centre Allan? that's what I use for a shoe horn :D

Cheers Chris :D

With hind sight ( and a limited background) perhaps I shouldn't have tried to cram so many artefacts in. :(

Not just any old lizard Shirley, That's a Karma Kameleon :D

I thought it was an illusion, created by the curve of the blade, but looking again, you're right David. b****r!

Thanks for dropping by guys (y)

Not quite so cramped ?

Hey boss.
I loved the main thread shot, got the connection immediately. Chuckle. A good sharp image too boot.
Your other shot is very cultured and far too on theme. Excellent image though, more like this and DK might have to remove you from the wall of shame !

Oh b****r! I hadn't thought of it like that, I've got 4 weeks left to make amends, I'd better pull my socks up Eh? :D

Great photo for cultural, but the karma chameleon gets my vote.

Hi Chris I think I prefer the second version of your 'proper' image for culture it looks a little less cramped.

Great chameleon too it must cost you a fortune in model realises from all of your animals :ROFLMAO:

Thanks Mark, I think I do too TBH :)

The Monkey's work for peanuts and the lizards for crickets, so its not too expensive :D

Hi Chris definitely the second image for me, I like all the items but wondering if maybe less would be more o_O
Thanks Susie, you could be right :)
fascinating how they change colour like that .....
A mate put one on a tartan rug .................... and it had a heart attack :(

Joking :D

I love that karma chamelion, damn clever idea!
Thanks Clive :)
Hope ya late submission for week 49 doesn't delay week 50 :p Cheers.
b****r! nearly forgot, I'd better get processing, its been a bit of s*** week TBH.
So sorry for the lack of comments guys.

Rest assured Andy @posiview I'll get mine in before the draw :D

Running late, Massive shoehorn this week ...
No need to comment guys & Apologies for the lack of mine this past week

I just like the way the Mara had arranged all the leaves around her in picturesque disorder (y)

Ah! had to google that one, big hamster of guinea pig, looks more like a rabbit. Very nice leaves

Had to google that one, guinea pig or Hamster, she won't like that one. It doesn't actually look very friendly but on a theme note the leaves have arrange themselves very nicely.
(It certainly has been a pig of a week) things surely can only improve.:)

Not for me unfortunately, the next two weeks will be hell :(

Ah! had to google that one, big hamster of guinea pig,
Its a Rodent, a cavy to be precise, so yes an overgrown Guinea pig.

looks more like a rabbit
Rabbits and Hares are lagomorphs and not rodents :)

Now seeing her do the arranging would have been good :D
I've got that shot somewhere, I'll dig it out :D

That's a weird looking rabbitt :)
Don't you start :p

Thanks for dropping by guys
