weekly Cobra's 52 surreptitious Shoe-horns for 2016 week 52 celebrate and done

I like the Penquins best, er! how to you know they smell. Just wondered.

Errr...I've been to zoos, and the California Academy of Science, where I assisted in their care as a volunteer when I was at Berkeley University on a year's exchange.

Hey! Cool dude. I like the vapour capture of #1 ... some lunch break !!!

Both work for me, the first one is a great photo, and the second... well, who doesn't like penguins? :D
They are OK, better pot roasted than baked as they can be a bit tough .... Oh I see what you mean Bernd :D

Love the liquid lunch Chris....you look, chilled :D
That's me in a state of hypertension and stress Ruth :D

nice touch with the straw, my kind of lunch break, with a good connection between both vices
I'm worried about you
I'll try and get back to normal next week Allan :D

Liquid lunch is nicely done, I like that you captured the vape against the background. Excellent timing with the penguin, made me smile :D
I thought I'd throw that in to stay with the dubious connections, I'm glad it made you smile Chris.

Have you never been near a penguin enclosure Shirley? it smells worse than Billingsgate market ..
/ resists the blind lesbian joke ....

It was indeed Carl :D

Thanks for dropping by, guys, and for all the kind comments, they are appreciated

2 great images for Liquid Chris.

Love No2 for the comedy value with he speech bubble

Love the B&W conversion of the first.

Good to see our cool dude Cobra :) and what an original idea for the theme .....nice one, spot on with the choice of the B&W too.

:D @ the Penguins.
Thanks Susie, glad you enjoyed the Penguins too :)

Being bent over like that a bath could be the last thing he gets !!!
:D

As for the liquid lunch, is Pernod all you had left in the cupboard :puke:
Its all I ever have in the cupboard
:D

And I not going to ask how you held the camera for the selfie, triggered with your toes no doubt :)
Not heard of a "timer" and tripod I take it then Dean? :p
( I really must figure out how this infra-red remote works :D )

Liquid lunch appeals to my SOH more ... there's something unforgivable about hugging a Pernod bottle with a straw in it, plus the e ciggy makes two weird vices in one lunchtime. :D

Weird is one word for it I suppose :D
Thanks David

So week 43 then, no real shoehorn this week either ...
We've all had double yolkers for Breakfast, ever wondered what would happen if we didn't eat them?
Cracked it :D
Reflection or Sans reflection?

Poor little blighters...it looks a bit crowded in there!
My favourite is the second, with the reflection.
Cleverly done Chris. :-)

Really good take on the theme Chris, second one for me too, nicely lit with interesting reflection.

Love this, so good, the black really draws the eye to the subject. I didn't realise there were 2 in there at first.

Thanks Debbie :)

Hence the comment about double yolkers :)

I didn't know you can get twin ducklings, have you a photo of them all nice and dry.

That's not a shoehorn, you'ver cracked the theme, right on target:D

Ah Excellent Mr.C. I like #2 better but not a great deal to choose between them - both brilliant .. .not shoehorned though !?!?!?!

Cheers Carl, no, no shoehorn, that took me a lot longer to get "right" than I anticipated, I ran out of time TBH.. hopefully normal service will be resumed next week though :D
Thats brilliant Chris love the lighting and some great detail.
Thanks Mark :)

A cracked eggshell, no shoehorn required!! o_O

The lighting looks a little better in #2 but I'm not sure about the reflection.

though the barcode is a tad off-putting the detail is very nice :)
Its in case you wanted to buy it, of course, silly billy just scan it
Or more likely, I didn't see it until it was processed and up loaded

Thanks for dropping by Dean :)

Eggcellent photo

I prefer the one without the reflection. It's a suitably disconcerting photo, I would have returned the egg.

I'm slightly worried about you Cobra no shoehorn or gob shot? Are you felling unwell;)

I do seem to be running a bit of a temperature :(

I suppose technically, the egg has its "mouth" open? :D

Wow - that's amazing to see...it's certainly snug in there! I like the lighting and detail of the second best,
Thanks Emma :)

but the reflection looks maybe a touch dark to me?
I selectively lightened it, darkened it, dodged it, burnt and gave up in the endTBH, settling on that one. :D

Much prefer the Liquid lunch shot over the penguins, looks very 'street'.
Cracked - WIth out the reflection... I don't feel the reflection adds anything. Not sure if it's me, but the colours seem to look better in the first shot too.

Cheers Tim, the Penguins were just thrown in for fun :)

There is a slight difference between the two, I was trying to balance the reflection, and the main image, but I tend to agree TBH :)
Thanks again :)
