weekly Cobra's 52 surreptitious Shoe-horns for 2016 week 52 celebrate and done

What a regal looking chap - POV gives "him" a haughty look. Like the gritty b&w processing.

Stop playing by the rules Chris, you're scaring me.
Nice Tigger though. :-)

Works for me, an urban tiger indeed, go and have a lie down you are on theme

SHOEHORN (again) :)..... :cobra:

I like the tiger but not sure about the compo, wonder if it might work better with it either to the left or right of the frame. ;)
Thanks Nigel, I did shift it about a bit originally, but thought it worked best, showing the bars and blocks as it was supposed to be something like urban :D

Not quite what I thought Urban Jungle means
Well if you assume the Tiger is a drug lord, it makes more sense.
( not that mine ever do anyway you understand :D )

Love the beast and the processing work.
Cheers Stan :)

I really like the original play on Urban jungle, gritty concrete and mesh with the tiger and a good mono conversion makes an interesting photo.

Did it always have that silly necklace on.
No, I mentioned to it, that it wasn't "Urban" enough so it went to the back of its cave and found a little bling

The chav cat is good fun.

Your original entry is excellent, on theme too. :jawdrop:

Phew....you turn your back and suddenly there are a page full of photos!

Love the original, it has a super gritty wildcat feel to it, he really does look like the top dog cat, he looks a cool dude in the graffiti one too :)
LOL thanks Susie, I was trying to please everyone :D

As you can see, the Wicked Witch of the West ( or WWW. to her friends)
is wearing a Pair of Jesses ....
And the connection between this and the home page image?
They are made from Kangaroo leather.

Re-shoot.
Entrance
A different entrance and different processing, I'm not sure if it works or not TBH.
(Although I quite like the subtly, not that I "do" subtle very well :D )

www. is a beaut. (y)

entrance ... looking out is just great but not sure that barrier/gate at bottom is relevant.

Very good photo of WWW, that look live up to the name.

The entrance works well with good light and details throughout from inside the lichgate to the distant sky

Thanks Carl, I see what you mean, about the gate, I was in two minds TBH,
as to leave it in as a "barrier" or not.

If looks could kill, eh? :D
Thanks for the feedback Chris :)

That bird looks mean, is she still being a pain?

nice symmetry to entrance, but I would take a little off the bottom

I think WWW gets some bad press. She's too lovely to be evil. :-)
Well shoehorned, Chris. :D

Liking the reshoot for Entrance too.
I actually prefer it with the gate included.

Got to agree a lovely looking www. and not too a bad a link... Re-shoot from you too, a nice entrance with plenty of shadow detail, and whoa... a well framed monument in the arch, nice one, well two Chris (y)
Cheers Dean, seem's I'm trying too hard again though :D

Thanks Ruth, and if you or anyone else wants to look after WWW for a few days, and then say she is cute, well ...
:D

A pair of themes, oh! yes, very good:thinking:, you take a smart photo of birds.

Beautiful shot of WWW and I like the entrance shot - lovely composition.

Hey Guvnor,
Ancient - Both look pretty old to me, and with the explanation behind the rhino, even more on topic. As Stan says, what's with being on theme this week? You're letting us down. ;)
Urban - The puddy tat does seem to be king of his urban jungle. LOL at the re-edit with the tagging (y)
Pair - Much better, this is more on the horned shoe theme. Not sure I'd want to meet her on a dark night.
Re-shoot - I didn't notice the gate at the bottom until I read the comments, the image successfully directed my eyes through teh scene to the monument.

I really like your first post for urban, very gritty and as urban as tiger photography gets.

And great facial expression of www. But I'm surprised that her jesses are made from kangaroo leather. Couldn't you find anything closer to home or is kangaroo leather vastly superior?

Very nice symmetry for your re-shoot, but where are the animals?
