weekly Cobra's 52 surreptitious Shoe-horns for 2016 week 52 celebrate and done

(ignoring the genitals of course :D),
How can you ignore the genitalia? its quite impressive :D

but for me its zee peeeerpull zebra that gets the shoehorn badge (y)
Cheers Dean,
Now that's what you call a shoe horn, a full colour (garish at that) image into a black and white theme :D

In these days of political correctness, that zebra should be rainbow zebra. :)

Only if it's LGBT, surely. :D

That kinda puts the mockers on Bah Bah rainbow sheep, rather than black sheep, doesn't it?
Not only was it concerned about its ethnic background, and now the poor thing is confused regarding its sexual orientation.
Still I suppose its all work for the counsellors :D

Loving the purple zebra...went to the zoo with the kids yesterday but didn't manage to spot one.
Thanks Steve, and yes they are very rare TBH.
:D

Whoa! you been on the wacky baccy Mr.C.? (Maybe David too with passive smoking at the Notting Hill carnival!). Fun take - like the b&w monkey best.

The purple zebra is just bizarre and in your second shot I'm not even sure what I'm looking at :cautious:

The two African species, the white rhinoceros and the black rhinoceros, belong to the family Dicerotini, which originated in the middle Miocene, about 14.2 million years ago.
I'd say that was quite Ancient :D

(btw, the spots are rain)

And who remembers one foot in the grave?
(get yer minds out of the gutter :D )

Giant Tortoise, circa 150 years old.

Quite a lot of thought has gone into this post, amazing. Nice photos but the old Rhino looks a bit sad.

Rhino for me, magnificent animals, tortoise is a bit tight in the frame perhaps

A bit borderline that ... 14.2 million years! Shoehorn if it wasn't for that crucial .2 just edging it!! Yes, I too like the rhino - I always think their eyes too soft and kindly for such a huge body mass. Good take Mr.C. ... raindrops and all.

Well thought out and I never knew that the ancestors of Rhinos were that old, good capture.
Cheers Chris.
I must admit, I knew they were an ancient breed, but not thought about how old, until I looked into it.

Two shots that actually on theme for a change. :) Like the layback pose of the rhino.
Cheers Stan, thats a few "almost" on theme now. I must try harder :D

Best I could do TBH, as unfortunately there were no living Dinosaurs there not even a little Velociraptor :(

Cheers Carl

Rhino looks on his last legs, about 50 I'd say.

He's fine, I just shouted, roll over, play dead.
Very obliging these critters :D

Great rhino photo although he looks exhausted. But then they would look exhausted if they can trace their ancestry back to the dinosaurs.

I don't know if I find the suggestive close crop of the tortoise more disturbing, or that photo you posted a few weeks ago where one turtle nibbled on another turtles anatomy... :exit:

Thanks for dropping by Bernd

First old b****r right on theme.
Second, right in your dirty mind. :-)

Two great pictures and on theme, how will you get the zoo in for urban? Will it be the urban jungle?:)
Cheers Clive, and it'll be far more "off the wall" than that, if I can pull it off ;)

Kinda stumped this week so almost playing by the rules
How about an Urban Jungle?
Converted to B&W, a little dodge and burn here and there and a little selective sharpen to make it gritty.

'Who let the cat out', I wouldn't guess it was Urban but it is gritty. I look to you for inspriration but sometimes, well, say no more.

Have you never heard of the Urban Jungle? the "Rough end" of town with its concrete structures and wire fences?

I look to you for inspriration
I'm flattered but be careful or your'll end up as crazy as me :D
