Hi all,

I am currently using Ps in RGb but discussing something else on another thread i am wondering now if i should be using CMYK.

What do others use and for what reason?

Thanks

Dawn

CMYK is mostly used when sending to a printer for magizine/book reproduction. What do you do with your images?

Dawn, if it is for your skin tones on babies as suggested on another thread, this is quite specialised and needs a bit of research and will take some time to master. The finished product will not be in CMYK it is only some PP work & will have been converted to that profile and then back to sRGB for printing.

There are some Graphic designers that prefer to work in CMYK but I would suggest that for Photographic work then conventional RGB is better. Also CMYK is a bit of a variable feast as it does depend on what press set up you want to use.

I don't know the technique that Tom is referring to but it does sound as though it could be complicated.

neither use sRGB
