Here we go:

This is our new kitten in her house.

The idea was to illuminate form the inside to give a 'cosey' look.

I would have liked to have spent more time with the lighting (wireless flash inside the house) but she soon got fed up and ran off... I have this effect on women ;)

PP:

Increased brightness and fill light.
Cloned out some of the light bleeding.
Standard sharpening. (far too addictive)

Not qualified to offer critique, but love the pic, definately connected with the cat.
Also like the reflection of the opening on the wood.
 
Personally would have cropped out the wooden floor and lightened the opening to give it more of a seductive yet mysterious lead into the warm, fuzzy home of the cat.
 
Yeah I agree, nice pic! I like the symmetry to it all, although I might try shooting it with a smaller DOF to get the whole wooden floor in focus too, i think it's dark enough not to draw attention away from the cat but might make it a more complete image? Just food for thought ;)

The original shot didn’t include the wooden floor, but when i spotted the possibibity of the reflection I quite liked it. It added I bit more the image.

Agreed if I could get the reflection of the cat it would look better.

It was shot at F8 so I could try a bit smaller and see what happens, but you will probably just see what a state the floor is in:thumbsdown:

I think this needs a re-shoot taking in all of the comments, including trying to soften the light inside the house and make it cosier. Constant lights instead of the single flash maybe.
