For the next 7 days, according to weather forecast, it's going to be cloudy/rainy over here. That happens quite often actually, most days are cloudy/rainy where I live.

Do you often take pictures when it's cloudy? Personally, I think that it's kinda dull due to the lighting levels...

Well although cloudy days can be rather dull, consider it to be natures softbox :D

cloudy, overcast, sunny - who cares... if you know how, you can still take great photographs

I do  and the brightest part of any cloud on the day is where I will take my custom WB from.

I think a digital camera would be the best tool for a beginner - a lot of experimentation is needed to know what and how it works. :)

P.S. I'm sorry, what is a custom WB? :)

White Balance.

Give me a nice white cloudy day when taking photographs...erm any day over a bright sunny day.:D

I'd much rather it be in the form of storm clouds. It has been ages since I have captured lightning.
