Box are OK and the first 50 gig is free or was a couple weeks ago.
You've got the dot in the wrong place, it's 5GB free![]()
Crash plan start rate limiting uploads at around 200G if I remember correctly. I'm with backupsolutions as they are one of the few to have UK based servers. It was the only way I could use most of my 16Mbit upload. Cost is $100 per year but storage is unlimited (think I have close to a Tbyte there now...) They use Iron Mountain storage which is exactly the same system we have in work. The backup client is even the same...
Ahh.. My apologies... it is Carbonite that limits upload speeds: http://carbonite.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1440/~/[general]-bandwidth-allocationJust had a quick check as although I am nowhere near 200GB I would be disappointed if they did limit the upload rate. Fortunately that doesn't seem to be the case.
I'd also look at upload speeds. If you have anything like a fast upload, you need to make sure you can get your data to them quickly (Crashplan failed miserably for me at ~2Mbps up). Thanks everyone...as well as costs though I'm interested in the reliability of the provider
