I have a range of childrens clothing I want to start photographing for my wife. She also has a semi matt White box, with grey ribon accross the top she wants me to shoot.
I have bought a 1m tent, 40d with one 380ex flash and one cheap ettl flash. I also have bought a blue / grey bed sheet to use as background so I can cut out.
Can anyone show me what to look at regarding lighting, what do you have? Should I ditch the tent?
I am thinking I will need a light to each side, and one to the top / rear.
Over to you guys please. Set me up!

A light tent isn't ideal, you need to reveal the texture of the clothes and a light tent will do the opposite. See this thread, which should help.

How are you planning to shoot this - models, mannequins, just laying it flat?

Laying flat to start with, but we have mannequins to hand.
I will pop off and read that link. Thank you
