Hi. I'm new to lenses so would appreciate some help, please.
My application: I wish to take a close up photo of the base of my fingernail. Its width is 10mm, Ideally, I would like the image pixel size to be equivalent to 0.002mm of fingernail but as 'bad' as 0.010mm would be acceptable.
My image sensor: I wish to use a Raspberry Pi HQ 12MP camera which has a maximum resolution of 4056 x 3040. The camera's spec is:
I have no strict requirements about image distortion around the periphery of the central image. However, the undistorted central image should be equivalent to 10x10mm of finger.
The finger will be in a fixed position so I guess that manual focus would be fine. I understand that narrow depth of field may lead to a focus issue if the finger moves slightly.
Budget: Around £40. I realise that this is a low figure but this is a one-off project and it is unlikely that I will use the lens frequently thereafter. I am happy to buy from Aliexpress! Hope this doesn't make me a pariah
Please can someone recommend a lens that might fit the C-mount? I don't mind using an C-mount to MFT adaptor if it widens the choice of lens for this application
Thank you!
