Cloning problems

Using CS6 I've previously used the clone tool and not had a problem.

Today though as hopefully will be seen on the rock where I started cloning out a stick, I was getting lots of noise like dots around the cloned section.

Have I inadvertently changed a setting I am wondering.

Dissolve mode on the clone stamp tool maybe?

Brilliant - just found it on the toolbar - dont know how it got switched to that though as I have never used it in that mode before as still new to Photoshop
