Hi

I would like to clone my admin account so that all the applications available under this account are available under a new account without admin privileges.

Please can someone let me how I can do this?

Thanks

Why do you want to now change to a non-admin account?

The easiest option is to create a new User account with Admin Privs, log into it, and remove the Admin Privs from the original account.
Not sure what you need a duplicate of all the various folders, you'll only need an account name and password to enable the action being requested.

If you do want a duplicate - then simply create the new User account, and drag/drop the folders in the Admin account onto it.
Log out then into the new User account, and run Repair Permissions in Disk Utility (Apps>Utilities)

That'll be you ready to go.

Phil,

Thank you will look into this.

No problem - the first option is the more sensible one in my mind, since if your iTunes media is in the Music folder, you'll be duplicating all that too, if you opted for the second approach.
So simply removing the Admin Privs using the new Admin user account, makes it all so much quicker and simpler than faffing around with moving folders about, etc.
