Clone Stamp Problem

Hi hope you can help!!

Trying to clone on my CS5 but for some reason it's only cloning in a spray can type effect not really sure how best to describe it but say for example I need to clone dark on to light it only gives me little black specks rather than a full black circle. I've tried changing brush heads and sizes etc....even un-installed and re-installed the software but it still persists

It's never done this before...


Hope someone can help!!

Are you sure it is the clone stamp not the pattern stamp tool (they share the same location) hold left click on the clone tool icon to see both.

Possibly you have the blend mode on dissolve....have a look in the options bar.

It's defiantely on clone stamp but thanks for the learning tip with that one Wayne....

Joan, which options bar? where would I find 'blend mode' ?
