Clear skies anyone?

Been raining solid for two days; sky as dirty and grey as I have ever seen.

No luck here either pretty thick cloud cover. :(
No rain this evening, though there was some earlier in the day

My daughter just saw a shooting star. I am hoping to see some tomorrow night.

I believe that its peaking tonight and early hours of the morning

This year, the shower peaks on Saturday and unfortunately coincides with the full moon, which will make observing the shooting stars difficult. However, catching a glimpse of the light show will not be impossible and the best opportunity to do so will be during the predawn hours of Saturday morning.

I woke up at 3 am last night and have been awake since then as it felt so sickly muggy to sleep in, while I was awake I thought I'd try and get a glimpse of the Perseids Meteor Shower, but that rubbish default thick cloud cover scuppered things. :bang:

Gave up at 1am, broken clouds but no light show :(

Cloud is that thick here, you could cut it with a knife and serve it on a platter! I downloaded an android app called astro panel and it shows clear skies for 3am. If I canwake up I shall take a look.
