good afternoon

What do people recommend to clean white vinyl with? had a shoot at the weekend and it's left me with a backdrop covered in oily fingerprints and shoe scuff marks
 
I usually use water and washing up liquid or an all purpose cleaner something like flash. if I'm desperate toilet roll with water and hope it gets what ever is there. but I usually (tesco daisy) have one of the above in the car. (sad yes)

I tried washing up liquid, it removed the general dirt, but not the oily prints and scuffs :(
 
Strange that the washing up liquid which is supposed to be good are removing grease/oil
 
You could always try an organic solvent on an inconspicuous piece of the vinyl. I suspect that Ethanol or Isopropanol won't harm the surface.
