Gloves?
....just you hand get filthy with opening the doors and boot....
Just drove back from the Olympic Stadium on the M11 and M25. Gritters are out in force. Everyone was trying to hold back and avoid getting sprayed, but it still gets thrown up by the other cars.I also hate the icy weather when they start to Grit the roads, or rather salt the roads. Not that I am too bothered about a filthy car, just you hand get filthy with opening the doors and boot![]()

Bloody cold walking back from the stadium to the Westfield shopping mall. 4 degrees in Stratford and 3 degrees on the motorway. Wind makes it feel worse though.Looks like it is on it's way here, just been out and it is bitterly cold![]()

If you'd done it properly you'd only need to hose it down or a quick jet wash.Fed up cleaning the car in this weather![]()
Be a little difficult, live in an upstairs flat with a small parking bayIf you'd done it properly you'd only need to hose it down or a quick jet wash.

Gritters come through here so fast that the grit barely touches the road,Gritters are out in force.
My brother in law used to drive the Gritting wagons down in Plymouth, he used to drive close to the kerb so the grit / salt would hit the girls on their legs. Some form of perverse pleasure I assumeGritters come through here so fast that the grit barely touches the road,
but people are grateful that their drives get gritted
those that park on the roads are not so happy though![]()

Will salt water do ? I do like to be controversial![]()
Part of basic training I thinkSome form of perverse pleasure I assume![]()
The way the grit comes out of the lorry, I don't think it's meant to actually grit the road, just spray the cars. Had to visit the jet wash this afternoon to get all the salt off the car, then top up the wax with the wax rinse.Gritters come through here so fast that the grit barely touches the road,

I do remember the days, long long ago must be back in the early 1980s, and I did actually use Turtle Wax on my Escort MK1. I may have used it on other cars, but as time has gone on, I have forgotten all about car waxThe way the grit comes out of the lorry, I don't think it's meant to actually grit the road, just spray the cars.
