Hi all,

I'm did a studio shoot yesterday and unfortunately you can still see some black marks on the floor of the studio and some creases in the backgrounds. Is there a way that I can take these out (ideally as a batch process in Lightroom3) without resoring to individually cloning each mark/crease in each shot that needs it...I just want to have the white background/floor white and clean...

cheers everyone.

Were all your shots on a tripod? If so the black marks will be in the same spot all the time in every image?

If so you can use the adjustment tool and clone the area out using the spot tool (not sure what it's actually called). Once the first image is done select all the images (control A) then select Sync and select the tool you want to replicate in the "local adjustments" section I think it is (not sittiong with Lr at the moment).

Click ok and it will add that adjustment to the same location on every file.

If you did not use a tripod, you need to do this on every image.

Actually I use the exposure brush to make my background white and make sure the Auto Mask is ticked. Keep the + in the centre of your brush on the white area and it will only affect that colour/shade of pixels and should not affect your subject - Increase/decrease brush size to suit.

If you have photoshop you could use the colour replacement tool using the eyedropper on the affected area then brightening it to match the reaminder of the "white" background

i have used the colour replace tool in the past and it removes colour from the subject.

Am also looking for method to improve the white floor of the studio.
