Cleaning Laptop Screens

Anyone care to offer advice on how to clean my laptop screen. It is desparate but i'm loathed to try anything without knowing it is safe to use.

Is it a Plastic LCD type screen or one of the shiny truebrite type?

My dad uses some of that spray foam cleaner you buy in computer shops, it works a treats, I bought some screen wipes from staples they where not so good dont buy them!!!

a damp clothand then buffed with a dry one works fine. Just avoid any liguid running into the edges and don't use course cloths.

^^^ agree. I tried various remedies and found a damp cloth followed by a polish the best.

I hear sand paper bring outs a nice matt finish

Monster cleaning fluid, around £15 but really good.

Woodsy: Sand paper....? I was thinking about 2000 grade wet n dry.
