I'm on the hunt for a secondhand sigma lens but would I be right in saying that I cant view the classifieds for 60 days as I'm a new member.

I have to say, there are less listings in Classifieds than I expected post-Xmas... maybe people are still recovering :D
 
Thanks, I suppose if i said 'Dont forget to take your lens cap off when taking a pic' would be a sort of contribution wouldnt it.;) :)

in the meantime check out MPB photographic - decent kit at reasonable prices, from a trustworthy source and you get a warranty.

(also mifsuds, camtech , and others )
 
maybe everyone's researching prices before offering there items for sale ;) I just sold a 28-70 2.8 sigma.... what you looking for ?

best way to establish a rep as a contributor is to go comment on some un answered posts in the photo critique section (look under new posts then unaswered posts on the top bar) - but make sure you comment propperly as 25 posts saying " nice shot" doesnt cut it

and also don't stop when you nget to 25 as that looks like you had an ulterior motive.

bottom line tho is dont look at it as posting to gain clasifieds access - look at it as joining in with one of the best photography phorums out there , with classifieds access just a bonus of beining involved

Thanks, As with all forums not seeing facial expressions can give others the wrong impression. My motive for joining the forum was to gain access to information on photography as I'm new to it after a couple of years of digiscoping and wish to learn.

My main interest is birds and I'm a member of other birding forums were I have bought and sold from the classifieds on them plus received friendly information on different aspects of photography. I bought my Nikon d90 from one such site.

I will indeed be contributing to these forums as I've a lot of questions to ask. Thanks for the replies and sorry if I hijacked the op's thread.
