Fair play to you for 'fessing up to this.

I suspect there are two types of people in this world. Those who have done something like this and those who are going to.

I got to Arundel WWT to photograph the ducks and switched the camera on - nothing. At that point I remembered putting the battery on to charge. D'Oh! :bonk:

A friend did something similar last week, brought his camera bag and new lens to a car meet only to open it and find he had left the camera body plugged into his laptop at home

did that myself when i went out to pennington a few months ago and no memory card in camera

the language was choice and glad was on my own ro hear it !!!

Been there, done that and got the IM A PLONKER badge. I bet you'll never be without a card from now on. As someone with a brain like a sieve, I have cards in my car, in my wallet, suit pockets everywhere I can think of. My cameras are never without them cards. I take one out I put another one in cos I just can't make the same mistakes again.

Most of us have done it at some time. I have a rule now that as soon as I get home images are loaded onto computer, backed up, and cards reformatted and put back in the camera case straight away.
