Anyone been to see the show, or has anyone booked tickets?

I really fancy going to a show at the M E N :)
The ticket site is a bit hit and miss though when it comes to seat placement as you can't work out exactly where your tickets will put you even though it gives row and seat numbers :(
I'd be really miffed off if I paid a fortune for tickets and found that I can't see the whole of the stage.

Anyone got any experiences of the M E N and it's seating plan?

aye, they are the sites

If you go through the buy routine it'll give you a section something like 114 which is fine, but then you can't work out where the row and seats are.

I don't really want to stump up a fortune to get a seat where you're on the edges of the section and can only see 1/2 the stage

From the looks of ticketmasters website the stage will quite central and only
about half the seating will be in use. You'll pretty much see everything
wherever you sit if thats the case.

We've been a few times to the MEN and always try to get at the front of
the balcony but thats just a personal preference.

Looks like a good show

Cool

thanks for the updates guys, i'll see if they still have some tickets availble for the end of March :)

Grab me on MSN with seat numbers and I'll explain where you will be :)

the numbers change each time you go through the ticket process, but last night it was saying

BL 114 row P seats 6 & 7 (BL seems to be the lower tier)

looking on the seating plan there was a line drawn through section 103 and 114 as I presume it was at the edge of getting a view of the stage......sods law usually dictates that I would be on that line :(

For over 100 beer tokens I want to be sure I can see :)

We have been to see them at the Albert Hall a couple of times, they only release certain seats at the Albert Hall to ensure that you get a decent view. That's a Cirque thing, nothing to do with the Albert Hall so I imagine they do that every where they go.

Block 114 you're right at the side of the stage, so if there's any 'rigging' there you may have difficulties.

Row P, you're pretty much near the 'middle' (going upwards), not far from the end of the lower tier

I reckon those seats will be round about where the arrow ends.

Forgot to say, if you're anywhere near the MEN, go to the booking office, they have full control over ALL the seats (ie the ones they allocate to ticketmaster and others), so you can ask for a specific location :) I usually try and buy here if I can (and theres no booking fee unless you pay by CC)

I was in the trafford center last weekend but didn't know the cirque was going to be in Manc :annoyed:

Your arrow would put me the wrong side of the line which is what worries me.

YOU could be a love and go and buy me two tickets with a nice view :D

Quidam?

I went a few weeks ago. It's impressive but people were saying it's not their best.
It's the only one I've been to and I liked it but a lot of that was because it was at the albert hall and I'd never been to the albert hall before.
One it of the act had me really impressed. The imagery
And colours are brilliant but at one point I was just thinking ' it's just a jugglar - and a relatively crap one at that'
Don't sit on the front row if you font want to be part of one of the two clown acts. I hate clowns!

Also. Side seats are fine so long as you aren't really high up. There is no rigging to block
Your view. All the rigging is in an arch from the back of the stage to the front. If you want to get am idea of the stage go to my facebook page and look at my mobile uploads. Can't post a pic on here at the mo because I'm on my iPhone
Although if you pm me with your email address I can email you the photo

I'm so jealous - I love Cirque du Soleil. It's absolutely amazing and you will love it

I echo Badgerbaiter - but it's not just the front row - first time I went to it (been to 3 now), we were about 10 rows back and they grabbed someone out of our row and ones behind as well :D

Seen them a few times and rate them highly. The one at the MEN last year was good as they set the stage against one of the long edges. There were some ex Cirque guys performing in Blackpool today and I went without my camera. Bleeding shopping sucks... A guy I work withs sister is in one of the Vegas shows so he always gets good tickets. :D
