Circular polarizing filter

Hi one of these should arrive today which is the best method of testing it ie shooting that the sky or against a piece of glass, or is there a stand shot where it can be com-pair shots,

It,s a jessops one 58mm for my canon len 18-55mm

Sky works well! Point it at anything and keep rotating, should notice a difference.

or against water where you will really see the difference as yu rotate it... even water in a sink will do...
